Youth Week
Youth Week is a dynamic one-week program designed to engage young people in a series of activities that promote self-discovery, skill development, career exploration, and community bonding. This program offers youth aged 3 to 18 the opportunity to develop life skills, explore potential career paths, and build meaningful connections with their peers and local professionals. It focuses on enhancing self-confidence, fostering teamwork, and exposing participants to real-world career opportunities in an interactive and supportive environment.
2023
We hosted our first Youth Week in Northern BC for Lax Kw’alaams. This was an amazing week full of paddle boarding, teen dinners, skill building, and leadership opportunities on the water.
2024
Youth Week expanded to both Lax Kw’alaams and Prince Rupert. In this year we were able to work with several small businesses, bring critical first aid training from BCEHS directly to youth, develop career skills, and launch a college in a day collaboration with Coast Mountain College.
2025
We're growing! This year, we're planning multiple Youth Weeks and building new collaborations with partners and communities across the region.
